England midfielder has not featured for club or country at all this season after rupturing a thigh tendon over the summer

ADAM LALLANA is set to return from injury after next month’s international break.

The Liverpool midfielder, 29, stepped up his rehab in Qatar after rupturing a thigh tendon before kicking a ball this season.

And he is pencilled in to make a comeback in the second half of November AFTER England’s double-header against Germany and Brazil.

He could give Jurgen Klopp a massive boost ahead of the fixtures heading into the festive period, including the clash against Chelsea on November 25.

His absence has been a massive blow to Klopp and for Gareth Southgate, who plans to use Lallana at the World Cup next year.

But he will miss the warm-up friendlies at Wembley in a month as Southgate looks to test his team against top opposition.

He met Barcelona legend Xavi during his trip to the Middle East to rehab and wrote on Instagram: “Added bonus of meeting and chatting to one of my idols as well - Xavi. So down to earth despite being one of the greatest players of his generation.”

Liverpool will welcome Lallana's creative input - especially after labouring to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Anfield yesterday.

Jose Mourinho's side registered just one shot on target all game and were happy to sit back and defend.

But even with Philippe Coutinho and Mo Salah trying their best, Klopp's side could not break down the red wall.

The Anfield chief admitted he was "frustrated" at his side's inability to produce.

And before kick-off even revealed he would quit the job if he thought winning the Premier League with the club was impossible.
