Spain stars Alvaro Morata, David Silva and Carles Puyol reveal heartbreak over deadly Spanish fire which has killed at least 20
Spaniard tweets dramatic picture of wildfire that has ripped across Galicia in the northwest of the country
ALVARO MORATA, Juan Mata and David Silva have expressed concern after at least 20 people were killed by wildfires in Spain.
The Chelsea striker, Manchester United midfielder and Manchester City playmaker both tweeted dramatic pictures of the inferno that ripped through north-western Spain and Portugal over the last few days.
Morata said: "Images are hard to see, hard to imagine. From a distance all the strength in the world!"
The dramatic images Morata tweeted are only a taste of the chaos wreaked throughout the region as dry conditions and strong winds from Hurricane Ophelia fanned the flames.
There have been suggestions the fires were started deliberately, from local political leaders.
Several more pictures of flames engulfing entire towns and villages have spread, with one of a bus charred to its frame, and more of firemen attempting to put out the blaze.
Helicopters have been drafted in to douse the flames, but they have faced a losing battle, with the fires spreading easily.

United star Mata said: "Sadly, this weekend we’ve got horrifying images of the fires in Galicia, Asturias and Portugal, that have even killed several people.
"I really hope that the rain can help in this fight because many of those fires are close to highly populated areas. And I hope that the authorities will find the people responsible for them."
Former Spain international Carles Puyol also tweeted his sadness at the scenes.
The former Barcelona defender tweeted: "Terrible news in Galicia, Asturias and Portugal, people are fighters fighting the fire. Strength and courage!"
Morata, who is currently nursing a pulled hamstring, is expected to be back in the first-team frame in the next week.
Manchester City star Silva tweeted: "It is incomprehensible that human beings have to do this sort of thing. All my strength to the Galician, Asturian and Portuguese people."
