Manchester City ace Sergio Aguero pays emotional tribute to his mum after horror car crash

Argentinian striker posted a picture of him and his mother while wishing her a happy mother's day

SERGIO AGUERO has paid tribute to his mother as the Manchester City star continues his recovery from his horror car crash.

The Argentinian broke his rib after the car he was in crashed in Amsterdam a fortnight ago.

Aguero, 29, has yet to feature for City since but shared a snap of him and his mum wishing her a happy mother's day.

Aguero posted: "Happy day to all the mothers!!! I love you mommy."

The former Atletico Madrid man was on the bench for City during their 7-2 win against Stoke at the weekend.

Aguero was saved by his seatbelt when the Crysler PT Cruiser he was being driven in to the airport careered head on into a post.

He had been in the Netherlands for a pop concert following the Champions League victory at the Etihad Stadium against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Before the show Aguero sent a social media post out saying thanks for the invitation complete with a photo of himself and Colombian singer Maluma.

But, just hours later, it appears the taxi he was returning to the airport in collided with a pole.

The airbags were deployed and no other car appears to be involved from the photos available.
