JOEY BARTON stars in Morrissey's new music video for latest single, called Spent the Day in Bed.
The ex-Burnley and Manchester City midfielder, 35, is seen pushing the singer in a wheelchair in the video, as their unlikely friendship continues.
Barton and ex-The Smiths singer Morrissey, 58, met back in 2011 at Glastonbury - when the footballer was invited backstage to meet him.
At the time, Barton tweeted his shock at the "best phone call of my life".
He claimed: "It was from Morrissey‘s personal security man asking if I would like to meet the great man @ Glastonbury #heactuallyknowswhoiam."
The former Marseille man - who was known as the Sweet and Tender Hooligan by fans in France, owing to his love of Morrissey - appears predominantly at the start of the video.
Barton filmed his cameo at the Peckham Liberal Club last month, as he shared an image of himself chatting away to Morrissey on Instagram.
He captioned the post: "In conversation with... M."
Barton is currently without a club, having been let go by Burnley at the end of last season.
Prior to that the hard-man midfielder played for Rangers, Burnley again, Marseille on loan from QPR, Newcastle and Man City.
Barton even earned one England cap, back in 2007, in a 1-0 defeat to Spain at Old Trafford.
His latest venture comes as Morrissey continues his musical comeback.
The song Spent the Day in Bed will feature on comeback album Low in High School.
