According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is considering selling the Welsh Wizard due to his lack of game time.

Bale hasn't played for Madrid since the 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund last month - as he continues to be plagued by injuries at the Bernabeu.

Jose Mourinho has been a long-term admirer of the three-time Champions League winner, and was desperate to bring him to Old Trafford to hand him the famous No. 7 jersey.

While the Blues have also been linked with a move for the ex-Southampton star, but Bale is rumoured to be willing to reject both clubs in favour of the Lilywhites.

Bale - who left Tottenham in 2013 after six seasons - feels like he owes the club a debt after nurturing him into a world class talent.

His love for the club has never dwindled, and it has been reported that the prospect of playing in Spurs' new stadium excites him.

And that if he is forced out of La Liga, playing for Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino would make him feel 'like a footballer again'.

A hamstring injury has kept him on the sidelines in recent weeks - where he missed Madrid's 1-1 draw with his former club on Tuesday evening.

Bale has been restricted to just nine matches in all competitions this season - netting on three occasions.

Madrid, who sit third in the table, five points behind Barcelona after eight matches played, face Eibar at home on Sunday.
