Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus and AC Milan fighting it out for £40m Genoa wonderkid Pietro Pellegri
The 16-year-old Italian youth international has starred in Serie A since his breakthrough, with club president Enrico Preziosi to only listen to offers in excess of £35million
MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea have added to the growing clubs vying to sign Genoa's teenage wonderkid Pietro Pellegri.
The 16-year-old striker has taken the Serie A by storm since bursting on the scene last season, with a host of European clubs battling for his signature.
According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the two Premier League clubs face competition from AC Milan, rivals Inter Milan and Juventus.
Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is in no hurry to cash in on his prized asset, and wouldn't entertain any offers below £35million-£40million.
However, he is hoping a bidding war will ensue between all potential suitors as they look for the best possible deal.
But it looks as though Milan are currently winning the race to nab him, with Pellegri's agent Giuseppe Riso recently claiming preliminary talks have been held.
He said: "There was a good chat in August, which I think we will resume in the coming months with Milan.
"I feel good and think it will be something we will meet about in January or June."

Pellegri, who stands at 6ft 5in, has been likened to Red Devils hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic - a player he has claimed is his main role model.
The Italian U-17 star has featured in four matches this season - netting twice - both against Lazio in an eventual 3-2 loss.

In doing so, he became the first 16-year-old to score twice in a major European league game - adding to his record of becoming the first player born in 2001 to net in Serie A.
He is also the youngest player to feature in the top-flight at the age of 15 years and 280 days - matching Amedeo Amadei's 79-year record.
Despite the impressive form of Pellegri, Genoa currently sit 17th in the table, with five points from their opening eight games.
