Manchester United legend Roo wore the classic footwear for the as he won the Champions League, Community Shield and Fifa Club World Cup in the 2007-08 season.

And under-fire Ronald Koeman will be praying the summer arrival can hit anywhere near the form he managed that season as he fights for his job.

Roo plundered 20 goals for club and country that campaign and will need to hit a similar mark if the Toffees are to recover from a poor start.

As well as their struggles on the field, Everton are also facing a Uefa probe after disgusting scenes in last night's 2-1 defeat to Lyon.
