Bromley footballer unveils contender for the worst corner in football HISTORY against Dover Athletic
Hapless set-piece taker incredibly managed to scuff the ball behind him out for a thrown-in
STEP aside Iago Aspas, there's a new contender for worst corner in football history... in Bromley.
Three-and-a-half years after the former Liverpool's flops incredible scuff as the Reds threw away the Premier League title against Chelsea, the Spaniard's crown has surely been taken.
During Tuesday night's FA Cup fourth qualifying round game between Bromley and Dover Athletic, one home player strolled forward to take the set-piece.
After confidently setting himself, he casually strolls towards the ball, before changing his mind and making a real hash of it.
Clearly attempting a last-minute change-up, the player looks to play it short to a team-mate rather than whip one into the box.
However in doing so, he massively overcompensates and hacks at the ball as it miserably trickles over the line and out for a THROW-IN.
Just seconds prior to the spectacularly dismal effort, a fan can be heard urging him to take a "real" corner.
The supporter sighs: "No, put it in there... no."
ROO'S THE DADDY? Wayne Rooney has now scored against 36 of the 39 Premier League teams he has played... but who has he drawn a blank against?
That is followed up by chuckles from the crowd as the corner-kick dribbled towards the advertising hoardings.
Despite the horrendous effort, it didn't affect the course of the game.
