Man City v Burnley betting preview: City to score 2+ goals in the second half (4/9)

BREAKING down the so-called smaller teams is not an issue for Man City. They are unbelievable at the moment.

Burnley will drop deep and try to defend against City but the deeper sides drop, the more narrow they become.

That is when Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling, with their pace and skill down the wings, come into their own. They will get plenty of space as Burnley's defence narrows and they are such a threat.

We've seen loads of goals from wide areas for City this. Sterling has six to his name already but I fancy Sane to get an assist.

City are so hard to defend against.

When you’re chasing the ball and you’re not touching it, when all you’re doing is moving from player to player trying to hold your position, you get tired and the first thing that goes is your concentration.

You have one lapse of concentration against Man City and the ball will end up in the back of the net.

It’s as simple as that.

Newcastle v Crystal Palace betting preview: Andros Townsend to score first (12/1)

UNDER Ronald de Boer, Crystal Palace were going nowhere - literally.

They were possession based and just knocked it around the back.

But things are different under Roy Hodgson. Now, they take two passes to move it forward instead of eight and that has liberated Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha.

As my graphic shows, they are both playing higher up the pitch and get the ball far quicker.

When you have the pace of Townsend and Zaha it means you can be more compact in defence and more direct going forward.

Hodgson did a brilliant job on Chelsea, getting his side to stop the champions at source.

And I fancy them for another fine win this weekend, with Townsend scoring first.

Spurs v Liverpool betting preview: Mo Salah to score anytime (21/10)

4

IT HAS been said before but that does not make it any more important.

The big Wembley pitch really is an issue for Spurs.

They had one of the smallest pitches in the league last year but the extra space will play right into the hands of Liverpool, who will look to hit Tottenham on the counter.

Spurs were excellent against Real Madrid but they need to go on the front foot on Sunday and Liverpool will be happy to sit back.

For me, the dangerman for the Reds is Mo Salah.

He was brilliant against Man United last week and his pace will cause Spurs problems.

Salah's movement is so good. He starts off on the right but then he drifts inside, as my graphic shows.

That causes all sorts of problems for the defence. The left back is forced onto his wrong foot and then the centre back has to decide whether to stick with his man or twist and go after Salah.

Either way, it means chances will be created.

I fancy both teams to score and Salah for an anytime goal.
