DREAM DAY

Manchester United stars pose for pictures with young fans after arriving at Carrington for training

MANCHESTER UNITED shared their unbeaten joy with some brave young fans at the Aon Training Complex.

A host of first-teamers met youngsters with serious and life-limiting illnesses as part of a heartwarming event that takes place twice a season.

The Dream Day gave the kids to get up close with their idols, ask questions and collect autographs.

Oh, and have their picture taken with their Old Trafford favourites.

Eleven-year-old Robbie was delighted to meet England striker Marcus Rashford and defensive colleague Phil Jones.

Robbie really showed his true colours - his prosthetic legs carried the Manchester United badge.

Robbie went home with a signed club pennant as further reminder of his great day.

Morgan, aged seven, posed for a selfie with defender Chris Smalling, while Alex (13) linked up with academy player Axel Tuanzebe.

Rashford and Jesse Lingard were happy to meet ten-year-old Tomas, and Romelu Lukaku and Sergio Romero posed with Alice, another seven-year-old who was also introduced to Juan Mata.

Lukaku also met nine-year-old Logan.

Of course, United mascot Fred the Red was never far from action, too.

United are at Huddersfield on Saturday.

They’ll become the first team in Premier League history to keep eight clean sheets in their first nine games if David De Gea keeps the hosts at bay.

Full Saturday Premier League preview including Man Utd v Huddersfield and Man City v Burnley

Mind you, top scorer Romelu Lukaku has failed to score in 17 of his last 24 games against newly-promoted sides...

And boss Jose Mourinho will certainly hope his players don't take his lead.

The gaffer looked though he was half asleep when being driven to training on Friday morning.
