Arsenal target Andre Silva wanted by Barcelona as race to sign exciting young AC Milan forward heats up
Striker only joined the Italians in £33million deal from Porto over the summer but could be set for a shock January exit
BARCELONA are reportedly looking to hijack Arsenal’s move for AC Milan star Andre Silva.
SunSport exclusively told you this week that the Gunners are looking to replace contract rebel Alexis Sanchez with the Portugal international.
But Corriere della Sport via Calcio Mercato claims that Silva is also wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona, who are searching for a new forward in January.
They offloaded Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee over the summer and used some of the money to buy Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele.
But after missing out on Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho, Barcelona now seem to have turned to Silva as the man to bolster their front three.
The 21-year-old striker only joined Milan in the summer from Porto for £33million.
He’s yet to get off the mark in Serie A but has scored an incredible six times in the Europa League.
Milan are struggling to impress after splashing the cash in the last transfer window, and already look set to miss out on the Champions League finish their new Chinese owners had been banking on.

The Serie A side are also in heavy debt and it’s believed they are on the hunt for even more investors to fund their TEN recent arrivals.
But Milan could soon be forced sell some of their biggest stars as a consequence, and losing Silva would definitely be a huge blow to their future ambitions.
