CARETAKER boss Michael Appleton saw Leicester hit Swansea with the old "one-two" at the Liberty Stadium.

Leicester were the brighter of the two sides as the game took shape in gale force conditions.

Marc Albrighton was twice denied in the box before Jamie Vardy’s 25 yarder was pushed over by Swansea stopper Lukas Fabianski.

However, the opener was not long in coming thanks to an own goal from Fernandez.

Riyad Mahrez whipped in a cross from the edge of the box and in trying to clear, Fernandez headed the ball into the top corner.

Vardy and Okazaki continued to cause problems for Swansea’s back four.

At the other end Kasper Schmeichel had an easy ride until the 37th minute.

Jordan Ayew’s cross took a deflection leaving Schmeichel to make a save at his near post.

Leicester struck with the all important second goal, three minutes after the break.

Mahrez delivered the perfect volley assist for Okazaki to tap home from six yards.

Swansea halved the deficit eight minutes later when Alfie Mawson swivelled in the box and beat Schmeichel at his far post.

The goal signalled Swansea’s best period in the game.

However, Leicester were equal to everything thrown at them and were happy to play on the break.
