Gunners boss Arsene Wenger insists the England international is getting back to his best, but he consistently overlooks him in the top-flight.

Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka continue to be the two trusted central midfielders, but Arsenal supporters are desperate for the academy graduate to get his chance.

He played a huge role in Olivier Giroud's winner against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday, gloriously gliding away from two players before the French striker scored a stunner.

Twitter was sent into a frenzy after Wilshere showed he is still more than capable of producing moments of magic, with fans waxing lyrical over his current form.
