Everton fans fume at shirt sponsors Sport Pesa after they celebrate Arsenal win with tweet

Toffees endured a terrible Sunday and it got worse when the Kenyan betting company saluted Arsene Wenger's birthday win

EVERTON fans have fumed at shirt sponsor Sport Pesa after they celebrated Arsenal’s win over Ronald Koeman’s beleaguered side.

Despite Wayne Rooney giving his side the lead, Arsenal rallied to win 5-2 and heap more misery on the Goodison manager who must fear for his job.

The Kenyan betting company is also an Arsenal partner in Africa but their affiliation with the Toffees is far more visible in England and it has looked like a betrayal to a number of fuming Everton fans.

The gambling firm swiftly deleted their original tweet – after a backlash – and replaced it with a far more neutral version.

But the damage was done and Everton fans have been haranguing the blundering betting company online.

Koeman admitted after the latest defeat that he expects speculation over his future while his side is in such poor form.

He said: “The team is underperforming. It is in a difficult situation mentally.

"That is what we need to change. I still believe I can change the whole situation but everybody knows how it works in football.

"That is all I answer about this situation so ask somebody else.

"It is how you look to the situation. If you start to think negative then maybe there is no solution.

"I am not like that."
