Liverpool become sixth Premier League team to concede 1,000 goals… but they still have better record than Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs thumped Jurgen Klopp's Reds 4-1 at Wembley on Sunday as Merseysiders reach milestone

LIVERPOOL endured yet another weekend to forget as they were humiliated 4-1 by Tottenham at Wembley.

Spurs tore apart Liverpool’s joke of a defence with Harry Kane scoring twice along with Heung-Min Son and Dele Alli.

Mohamed Salah made it 2-1 but Mauricio Pochettino's men were far too good for the Reds who, despite the 7-0 battering of Maribor – have now won just twice in ten games.

Liverpool appear to be two different teams, depending on which half of the pitch they are playing in.

In attack, they can seem unstoppable at times - particularly when the injured Sadio Mane is playing.

But in defence they look embarrassingly weak and in shipping four times against Spurs this weekend, they reached another unwanted milestone.
