SIMON MIGNOLET is statistically the best shot-stopper in the Premier League this season, despite ANOTHER howler this weekend.

The Belgian has saved 28.2 per cent of all shots he's faced, ahead of a pair of Crystal Palace goalkeepers.

Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni are in second and third with 28 per cent and 27.3 per cent respectively.

Nick Pope and Lukasz Fabianski complete the top five, while David De Gea, Jordan Pickford, Fraser Forster, Asmir Begovic and Petr Cech make the top ten.

That tally is the highest-ever total for a day consisting of just two Prem games, level with February 22, 2004.

Over at Wembley, Liverpool's horror show defensively saw them concede their 1,000th Premier League goal AND concede their most goals in nine league games since 1964-65, with 20.

Meanwhile, Arsenal became the first team to score 100 Premier League against a single team - Everton.

But Wayne Rooney did manage to keep up his hot streak against the Gunners, scoring a record 12th - the most by any player in the competition.

On the subject of Roo, Marcus Rashford took another step towards breaking his record of most goals by a teenager.

Rashford netted in the 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield to make it 13 goals in his teenage years, just two behind Rooney's 15.

The England youngster turns 20 at the end of the month and has just ONE game to break the record, as United take on Tottenham on October 28.

ROO'S THE DADDY? Wayne Rooney has now scored against 36 different Premier League teams after his crucial goal against Brighton… only failing to score against THREE sides

Across Manchester, Sergio Aguero equalled City's club-record for goals - in scoring his 177th against Burnley, he levelled Eric Brook's long-standing tally.

While Pep Guardiola's men failed to score five yet again against the Clarets, they have still scored 5+ this season six times in 2017.

Only Chelsea with ten have scored five or more in a game more in a calendar year.

The Blues managed to battle past Watford this weekend with a late comeback win, but earlier in the game, Abdoulaye Doucoure had equalised on the stroke of half-time.

The goal was Doucoure's fourth of the season... having hit the target just four times this term.

Finally it's over to the hapless Hammers, after West Ham played out their heaviest home league defeat against a newly-promoted side in nearly a century.

Their 3-0 loss to Brighton at the London Stadium was the worst result since a 5-1 defeat at home to West Brom in 1931.
