JOSE MOURINHO flung his coat to the floor as he tore into Manchester United’s flops after their Huddersfield horror show.

The Old Trafford boss flipped in the dressing room for the first time since taking over after his side crashed 2-1.

And he made it clear players’ futures were on the line if there is any repeat of the performance.

Mourinho publicly slaughtered his team claiming they lacked the same fight as newly-promoted Terriers.

He rapped: “The team that started with emotion, aggression, intensity, desire, that played the game of their lives was the team that won.”

Ander Herrera was the only United player to speak after their first defeat of the  season — which left them five points adrift of leaders Manchester City — while the rest scarpered onto the team bus.

Juan Mata did address the subject in his weekly blog yesterday, saying: “We were on a very positive run of results but  we didn’t play a good game. We knew this moment would arrive sooner or later, although that’s something you never wish for.”

United face  Swansea in the Carabao Cup tonight, then third-placed Tottenham at Old Trafford in a Saturday lunchtime showdown.

Midfielder Mata added: “Now, it’s time to learn from mistakes and keep going, as we always do, showing that the team sticks together when things don’t go so well — which is when we need it most.”
