Manchester City defender Danilo admits ‘I miss Madrid’ following £26.5million transfer from Real this summer
Brazilian star also discusses potential of playing alongside Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale at Etihad
MANCHESTER CITY star Danilo admitted: I miss Madrid.
Pep Guardiola paid £26.5million to prise the Brazilian from Real.
He has started three Premier League games and is struggling for Champions League football this season despite winning Europe's elite competition twice in two years with Los Blancos.
Danilo told AS: "The truth is that I miss Madrid. I spent two incredible years winning important things and people have always treated me very well, but you have to turn the page."
City's ultimate aim is to win the Champions League.
A massive £220million summer spending spree - of which Danilo was a part of - was funded in order to achieve this goal.
But the Etihad outfit's ambition knows no limit and the likes of Lionel Messi and Gareth Bale have been linked with sensational world-record moves in recent months.
Danilo insisted he plays no part in transfers. He said: "Guardiola has not asked me about Bale."

He added: "We have a very good squad, but everything to improve. Messi is a top player. Of course I would play with him, he is the best."
Danilo, 26, has now played under Real boss Zinedine Zidane and former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.

And the former Porto ace is refusing to pick a favourite.
He said: "They are two great coaches. I have had a very good relationship with Zidane during the two years I was in Madrid and now I am very good with Guardiola."
Danilo is joined by Brazilian compatriots Gabriel Jesus, Fernandinho and Ederson in the City first team.
And he reckons striker Jesus, who has eight goals so far this season, was the biggest surprise of his new team-mates.
He explained: "He is Brazilian but I did not know him, but he surprised me because of his quality and maturity despite being 20 years old."
