Wilshere, 25, is fit again for Arsenal but only made his first Premier League appearance of the season at Everton a week ago.

The midfielder should be on the bench at home to Swansea but Southgate remains a fan and wants to check his progress.

He will also watch on-loan Swans striker Tammy Abraham.

Assistant Steve Holland will be at Crystal Palace against West Ham.
