Everton transfer news: Anderlecht loanee Henry Onyekuru hints he could return to Goodison Park in January
The 20-year-old was snapped up for £7million by the Toffees in the summer from KAS Eupen, but is yet to make his first team appearance for the Merseyside club
HENRY ONYEKURU has fuelled speculation he could return to Everton in January after starring on loan at Anderlecht.
The 20-year-old was shipped off to the Belgian giants in the summer after the Toffees forked out £7million to bring him to Goodison Park from KAS Eupen.
Everton have struggled for goals in the Premier League this season after failing to replace Romelu Lukaku who was sold to Manchester United for £75m.
In nine top-flight matches, the Merseyside club have netted just seven times, with Wayne Rooney netting on four occasions, and Oumar Niasse finding the back of the net three times.
They could recall the Nigerian international in the winter transfer window, after he has banged in seven goals in 16 matches in all competitions for the Purple and White.
Onyekuru didn't qualify for a work permit after being brought in, but Everton could appeal to the FA's ‘exceptions panel’ to finally see him don the famous blue jersey.
And speaking to Belgian news outlet Het Nieuwsblad, the forward confirmed he doesn't know where he will be playing in the New Year.
He said: "I follow the path that is being drawn up for me. Wherever I go after New Year, I do not know either.
"Whether Everton has a contractual option to get me in the winter?
"Everything is possible. I'm their property, they decide.
