Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah set for a massive 650 per cent pay rise on new five-year deal
The 18-year-old hotshot set to be handed a bumper new £2,000-a-week five-year contract by the Gunners
ARSENAL are ready to reward superkid Eddie Nketiah with a massive 650 PER CENT pay hike.
The 18-year-old striker could see his current £2,000-a-week contract replaced by a bumper new £15k-a-week, five-year deal.
Nketiah, who netted both goals in the Gunners’ 2-1 comeback Carabao Cup fourth-round win over Norwich, has ONE full season left on his current Emirates deal.
But talks on a new one are set to start in the next month.
Arsenal are keen to tie him down after wowing boss Arsene Wenger in pre-season.
He joined them after being released by rivals Chelsea four years ago.
Wenger is preparing to swoop for Ipswich’s midfield whizkid Tristan Nydam, 17.
Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil has hit back at critics, claiming: “I’ll always give everything for Arsenal.”

But his man-of-the-match display in their 5-2 win at Everton earned a thumbs-up from majority shareholder Stan Kroenke.
And Ozil, 29, said: “It’s very nice to hear Kroenke’s comments.
“I’m happy here and do my job to 100 per cent, as I always have.
“I give everything and leave it all on the pitch for the team.
“As for whatever else happens, we will see in the future.”
