NO REST FOR THE WINNERS

Chelsea latest news: Two of England’s Under-17 World Cup heroes are already back in club action… IN ROME

George McEachran and Callum Hudson-Odoi only arrived back at Heathrow with their national team-mates on Monday but were in Uefa Youth League action today

TWO of England's Under-17 World Cup heroes had hardly any time to savour their moment of joy as they were thrust right back into action on Tuesday.

The Young Lions produced a stunning display on Saturday as they bounced back from two goals down to win 5-2 against Spain and claim the crown.

Steve Cooper's youngsters made a triumphant return to Heathrow on Monday from India to a heroes welcome.

However, there were two young men that had to put the celebrations on ice as they were quickly busying themselves to get back to work.

Chelsea duo George McEachran and Callum Hudson-Odoi's homecoming has been put on ice as they travelled to join back up with their club-mates in Rome.

And they were straight back out on the pitch to secure three points for the Blues this afternoon in the Uefa Youth League.

Both of the England starlets were named in the starting line-up for the crunch clash against Roma in the capital.

The two players continued their winning ways as the Blues secured a 2-1 victory against the Italian side.

Chelsea went 2-0 up, with goals from Dujon Henriques Sterling and Martell Taylor Cross-Dale.

Both of the World Cup winners were subbed off the pitch before the final whistle, but were praised by the clubs official Twitter account for their 'tangible impact'.

It's a vital win for the Blues' Under-19s after they lost the home clash last time out in the competition.

Chelsea Under-19s are now three points clear at the group C after Qarabag won 1-0 against Atletico Madrid.

After clinching the prize for their country at the weekend, the pair struggled to contain their joy.

McEachran, the younger brother of Brentford's Josh, tweeted: "Wooooow what a night, words can’t describe our feelings right now.

"Also I thank you for the all the messages I appreciate them all."

Meanwhile, Chelsea legend Michael Essien lauded Hudson-Odoi on his achievement.

The Ghanian wrote on Instagram: ''Congratulations little bro @calteck10 for winning the U17s world cup with @England well-done boy keep up the hard work I'm proud of you.''
