Udinese starlet Antonin Barak admits he’s an ‘Arsenal fan’ and dreams of playing for Gunners

Czech international has just moved to Serie A from Slavia Prague but has made no secret of his desire to represent the red half of North London at some point in career

UDINESE star Antonin Barak has put Arsenal on red alert, revealing he’s a Gooner and is desperate to one day play for the Premier League side

The midfielder is hoping he will get the opportunity to fulfil a childhood dream by securing a switch to England at some stage in the future.

Barak, 22, has made no secret of his desire to play for the club he has supported all his life, after making the move to Italy from Slavia Prague last summer for £2.5million.

The Czech international has scored 2 goals in nine appearances for the Serie A side, but his long-term plan is a switch to England.

The Czech Republic international is currently making a name for himself in Italy, having secured a switch to Serie A over the summer.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: “I was and still am an Arsenal fan.

“I went crazy for Thierry Henry, these days, I watch Andres Iniesta for his vision and first touch.”

Attempting to model his game on World Cup winner Iniesta also means that Barak has a soft spot for Barcelona.

The talented midfielder also fancies his chances in La Liga, but his knows he has to put his money where his mouth is.

Barak added: “I know that I need to develop, and it doesn’t bother me where I end up, we’ll see.

“In Italy, there are a lot of important teams. In Europe, Arsenal and Barcelona appeal to me.”

Barak made his international debut last year and has gone on score four goals in as many appearances for his country who failed to qualify for next summer’s World Cup in Russia.
