The Red Devils midfielder will be staying at the Theatre of Dreams until his contract expires, despite only featuring once under Jose Mourinho this season
MICHAEL CARRICK has no plans of leaving Manchester United in January despite a lack of first team football, according to reports.
The 36-year-old is being chased by Premier League duo Leicester and West Brom, while Championship side Aston Villa are also monitoring his progress.
According to ESPN, sources close to the player have revealed that the ex-Tottenham star is happy at Old Trafford.
While they also state that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho wants the midfielder to remain at the Theatre of Dreams.
Carrick has featured just once for United this season - an appearance against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup back in September.
He has missed the last six weeks of the campaign with an illness, though he has returned to first team training in a bid to force his way back into contention.
He is behind in the pecking order to Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, leading to clubs to vie for his signature.
The Foxes, Baggies and Villans have all enquired over his services, but Carrick is likely to stay at United until his contract expires in the summer, where he is expected to call time on his career.
