ARSENAL led three Premier League clubs who sent scouts to watch Aston Villa Under-23s tear apart Newcastle.
Callum O'Hare netted an impressive hat-trick while Harry McKirdy, Henri Lansbury and Jake Doyle-Hayes completed the 6-0 rout.
The Gunners were joined by Everton and Southampton at Walsall’s Banks’ Stadium to watch Kevin McDonald's Premier League 2 team.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Prem trio have been to a number of Villa's games this season with players such as O'Hare catching the eye.
And the 19-year-old has been rewarded with a new contract and training regularly with the first-team to ward off any interest.
Doyle-Hayes, 18, also penned a new three year deal last month after looking good on Villa's pre-season tour of Germany.
The Birmingham Mail also claim Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday were also there.
And League One clubs Blackburn Rovers and Northampton Town had scouts in attendance for the 6-0 win.

They are said to be regulars in watching Villa's youngsters as they look to take some of them on loan in January.
League Two club Lincoln City and Scottish Premiership side Ross County are also understood to have been there.
