Jurgen Klopp hails ‘dynamite’ Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain… despite midfielder’s shaky start at Liverpool after £40m move from Premier League rivals Arsenal
ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN has been called "dynamite" by his Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp despite his shaky start to life at the club.
In summer, Oxlade-Chamberlain left Arsenal in a £40million deal as he wanted to nail down a central midfield spot elsewhere.
But he appeared in nine games out of ten for Liverpool from the bench, his only start coming in the EFL Cup win against Leicester.
Despite his Anfield career not getting off to the greatest start, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been praised by Klopp.
Writing in Liverpool news website This Is Anfield, Klopp said: "[Oxlade-Chamberlain] has shown his class each and every time he has had the opportunity on the pitch.
"He is like dynamite when he comes on. Aggressive in the most positive way. Front foot always. Looking to attack and create.
"These performances come because of how good his attitude is in training at Melwood.
"He has the highest quality in everything he does; sometimes I think he is the last to realise this."

The next step for Oxlade-Chamberlain is to get a regular start in the team, be it centre-midfield or elsewhere.
And Klopp is sure his hand will be forced soon.

He added: "I am sure he is greedy for more starting selections and of course that opportunity will come.
"He is very much in the infancy of his Liverpool life, but the ‘world’ in 2017 doesn’t always allow for patience.
"He is doing everything right in this moment and because of this I know he will be a big success for us.”
Liverpool are in action in the Champions League tonight when they host Maribor.
The Reds won the away leg 7-0, with Chamberlain scoring after coming off the bench.
