Manchester United starlet Scott McTominay turns DOWN chance to make his Scotland debut against Holland at Pittodrie

MANCHESTER UNITED starlet Scott McTominay has turned DOWN the chance to make his Scotland debut.
The talented midfielder, 20, has never represented Scotland at any level.
But SunSport understands he was offered the chance to play against Holland in next week’s first team Pittodrie friendly.
However, the Lancaster-born youngster has rejected the approach because he wants to see if he is selected by England.
The 6ft 4in ace made his first Manchester United start against Crystal Palace in May and started last week’s League Cup win at Swansea.
Boss Jose Mourinho continued his faith in him when he played 90 minutes in Tuesday’s 2-0 Champions League group stage win over Benfica.
SunSport understands Scotland Under-21 coach Scot Gemmill and interim national boss Malky Mackay have made attempts to convince the product of the Old Trafford youth system to play for the country of his dad’s birth.
