Defeat leaves European champions clinging onto second place with Spurs requiring just three points for qualification
EUROPEAN champions Real Madrid were humbled at Wembley as their shocking start to the campaign continued.
In the summer, few could see anything other than a third consecutive Champions League success fore Zinedine Zidane and Co.
However, the 3-1 reverse against Tottenham meant they are still two points short of guaranteeing qualification from the group stage.

The Catalan press were clearly enjoying the moment, with Mundo Deportivo insisting Real Madrid's whole season is "under review.

Meanwhile, Sport went even further, claiming Los Blancos have "no direction".
It writes that Tottenham "danced around a terrible Real Madrid at Wembley" and "took away the option of a first place finish in the group.

Sport also insist that the players are unhappy and that Zidane is "out of ideas" on how to turn the disappointing form around.
If Tottenham pick up three points from trip to Dortmund and visit of Apoel, Real Madrid cannot finish in first place.
