Michael Keane drafted into England squad to replace injured Dele Alli for friendlies against Germany and Brazil
Everton defender is due to report to Three Lions' St Georges Park training ground today
MICHAEL KEANE has been drafted into the England squad for friendlies against Germany and Brazil.
The Everton defender replaces Dele Alli, who missed Tottenham's win over Crystal Palace with a hamstring injury.
Keane returned from a foot infection to play in the Toffees' dramatic 3-2 win over Watford yesterday.
Only struggling West Ham (23) have conceded more than Everton (22) this season.
Keane, 24, has four England caps and made his debut against the World Champions on March 22 this year.
He and the rest of the Three Lions squad are set to train at St George's Park today.
But Harry Kane and Harry Winks - who were both substituted against Palace - will undergo further tests at Spurs beforehand.
Chelsea captain Gary Cahill will also stay behind for further assessment after playing 90 minutes in yesterday's 1-0 win over Manchester United.
While Jordan Henderson, who missed Liverpool's 4-1 thrashing of West Ham due to a thigh problem, is set to arrive later in the week.
Gareth Southgate's side take on Germany and Brazil at Wembley on Friday and again four days later.
