Chelsea fans react on Twitter to technical director Michael Emenalo leaving Stamford Bridge after ten years
Blues supporters were divided over whether or not it was a good thing the 52-year-old Nigerian stepped down from his role
MICHAEL EMENALO'S decision to stand down as Chelsea technical director has been met with mixed reaction from fans.
The 52-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2007 and was appointed as director in 2011, but has called time on his Blues role after tensions arose in the summer.
Since the Nigerian has been in West London, he has been the transfer for TEN different managers.
But he had a reported strained relationship with boss Antonio Conte after he failed to bring in his key transfer targets in the summer.
Emenalo was seen as the right-hand man to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich - who trusted the former Super Eagles international.
He initially joined as a scout when Avram Grant was the manager, before he was promoted under Italian Carlo Ancelotti as first-team coach.
