Injured Aston Villa star John Terry jets to Dubai to rest and recover after suffering broken foot
Ex-Chelsea captain posted snap of himself enjoying the beach on crutches after picking up knock vs Sheffield Wednesday
CROCKED Aston Villa star John Terry has jetted off to Dubai to rest and recover after suffering a broken foot at the weekend.
The former Chelsea skipper, 36, broke his metatarsal against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday - the final game before the international break.
But Terry has put his disappointment of the injury - and the 2-1 defeat - behind him as he soaks up a little winter sun.
The 78-cap England international immediately headed to the Middle East, before posting a snap of his holiday on Instagram.
JT's wife Toni also took to social media to share some images of the glorious sunshine in Dubai.
She captioned her sun-kissed snaps: "Another beautiful day in Dubai #lovedubai".
Another picture shared by Villa star Terry showed him reading Legacy by James Kerr.
The book is sub-headlined "What the All Blacks can teach us about the business of life."
PREM'S NO1 City, Spurs, Chelsea, United all make it into the top five most valuable squads in Europe
JT showed off the book, while wearing a foot brace, from a sun-lounger on the white, sandy beach.
It would seem to be an apt choice for Terry, as the book focuses on what the New Zealand rugby world-beaters do best and how they apply to leadership.
