Southampton eye former Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic to end barren goalscoring run
Monaco star, 28, failed to impress at the Etihad but could be in line for move back to Premier League with Mauricio Pellegrino
SOUTHAMPTON are looking for Stevan Jovetic to end their barren goalscoring run, according to reports.
The former Manchester City striker is now with French champions Monaco after a summer move from Inter Milan.
But The Mirror say he is unhappy with the Ligue 1 club and Saints chief Mauricio Pellegrino wants to give him a new lease of life in the Premier League.
Southampton have scored just nine goals in their 11 Prem games so far this season.
But Jovetic's Man City form would give St Mary's fans little to get excited about.
The Montenegrin bagged just eight league goals in three years at the Etihad - despite being part of the title-winning side.
