Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Napoli, PSG… how do the other Big Five leagues in Europe look as we go into the international break?

As most clubs sit one third of the way through the 2017-18 season, take a look at how the top European leagues are looking

MANCHESTER CITY are already making the Premier League look like a one-horse race.

Pep Guardiola's men have got off the league's best-ever start to sit on 31 points after just 11 games, boasting a +31 goal difference already.

City sit eight points ahead of second-placed rivals Manchester United and are 12 points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool.

If the Etihad club can continue their steamrolling attack, they'll have the title all-but wrapped up by Christmas.

While City go into the international break clear at the top of the Premier League, take a look at how things are shaping up in Europe's other top leagues...

SPAIN - La Liga

BARCELONA have "done a Man City" in bagging 31 points with ten wins from their opening 11 games.

While that's almost par for the course for the Catalan giants, the real surprise from Spain is that Real Madrid are EIGHT points adrift in third place.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored just once in La Liga this term, with reinvigorated Valencia sitting above Los Blancos in second - with 27 points.

PREM'S NO1 City, Spurs, Chelsea, United all make it into the top five most valuable squads in Europe

Atletico Madrid are the final team to crack the top four, with Villarreal and Sevilla breathing down their necks.

At the other end of the table, things are looking bleak for Malaga, who've lost NINE of their 11 games to sit dead-last.

Alavas and Las Palmas are the teams in the drop zone, with Eibar just above the relegation places going into the international break,

GERMANY - Bundesliga

9

A FAMILAR tale, it's Bayern Munich clear at the top of the Bundesliga table.

But unlike the Premier League and even La Liga to an extent, things are very tight at the top in Germany.

Bayern are just four points clear of RB Leipzig, with Borussia Dortmund and Schalke just two points further back.

Hoffenheim, Hannover, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Monchengladbach all within two points of them.

At the bottom of the table sit Cologne, with a mere two points and ZERO wins this season.

Werder Bremen are a surprise entry in the bottom three, sitting in 17th of the 18-team league.

ITALY - Serie A

9

IT'S been Juventus, Juventus, Juventus for a nearly a decade now, after SIX straight Serie A crowns.

But Napoli have been the shining light of Italy this season, sitting top of the standings, unbeaten after 12 games, including ten wins as they chase their first title since 1989-90.

They sit one point above Juve, two above Inter Milan, four above Lazio and just five ahead of Roma in a jam-packed top five.

Big-spending AC Milan are surprisingly down in seventh and 12 points behind Napoli as things stand, with Torino and Fiorentina two big names just below them.

Benevento are incredibly without a SINGLE point, as they sit bottom of Serie A.

They look all-but dead-certs for the drop, with a goal difference of -26 already.

FRANCE - Ligue 1

9

IN France, it comes as no surprise to see Paris Saint-Germain top the standings.

The Ligue 1 giants - who splashed out a world record-shattering £198million to bring in Neymar from Barcelona also added Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

Their 32 points from 12 games - with no defeats - sees PSG sit four points ahead of Monaco and seven above Lyon in the French top-flight.

Marseille and Nantes are pushing for the top three themselves, while Nice are surprise entries way down in 15th.

Mario Balotelli and Co have won just four and lost SEVEN of their 12 games this season.

Meanwhile, Metz sit bottom with 11 losses from their 12 clashes, with Lille and Strasbourg also in the danger zone.
