Manchester United eye Arthur swoop as Chelsea, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid keep tabs on Gremio starlet
Playmaker has helped fire Brazilian side into the Copa Libertadores final and won a recent call-up to national squad
MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly keeping tabs on Gremio playmaker Arthur.
Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea have been linked with the 21-year-old, who has helped the Porto Alegre-based side reach the Copa Libertadores final.
His displays earned him a call-up to Brazil's squad for last month's World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Chile, with Arthur remaining on the bench for both games.
He has not been named in the Samba nation's squad for the upcoming friendlies with Japan in Lille and against England at Wembley.
But he is soon expected to be playing in Europe regularly.
And the Mail claiming that United are vying with other Champions League clubs to land a player who has been compared to Barca legend Andres Iniesta.

Picked up by Gremio in 2010, Arthur made his first-team bow five years later under former Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
He has made a midfield berth his own this year, starting 37 games on his way to South America's equivalent of the Champions League final.
He played in Brazil's Under-17 side at the South American championships, also featured in the Under-20 side before making the step up to the full squad.
