According to Austrian channel Laola, Liverpool sent a representative to the international friendly between Austria and Uruguay.

The report claims the scout was in attendance to watch 19-year-old defensive midfielder Danso and centre-back Gimenez.

Danso, who plays for FC Augsburg, used to play at MK Dons alongside Dele Alli before making the switch to the Bundesliga.

The talented youngster was given the tough task of marking Edinson Cavani and produced a strong performance as Austria ran out 2-1 winners.
