West Ham to give David Moyes £30million transfer war chest in January as new boss eyes William Carvalho and Hazam Barry
WEST HAM are ready to back David Moyes with a £30million war chest.
The Hammers will bolster Moyes’ squad in the January window using cash originally set aside to buy Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho.
That deal that collapsed in August.
Moyes is a massive fan of Euro 2016-winner Carvalho, 25, and tried to sign him at Manchester United.
Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho says a move could be resurrected despite the bad blood left between the clubs over the deal.
Moyes will take time to assess what he needs but Carvalho could be on his radar with only Pedro Obiang as a genuine holding midfielder.

The Hammers are also looking at £5million-rated Hajduk Split midfield ace Hamza Barry, 23, who has been watched by Everton and Watford.

He has blasted West Ham's Marko Arnautovic and told the club's record signing to become a "team player" if he wants to get into his side.
The Hammers splashed out a whopping £24million to bring the Austrian international to the capital from Stoke in the summer.
Said Moyes: "I watched him a lot at Stoke. I thought he looked like the sort of player you would never be keen to play against because of his power and strength and what he can do.
