According to Sport Bild, Arsenal will pay Borussia Dortmund around £1.8million to prise the 45-year-old super scout - dubbed 'Diamond Eye' - away from the Bundesliga.

Mislintat has a contract at Signal Iduna Park until 2021, and has been with the club since 2007 where he was credited for the discovery and signing of Robert Lewandowski from Lech Poznan.

He also played a vital role in Dortmund luring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Shinji Kagawa, Ousmane Dembele and Christian Pulisic.

And he is now set to move to North London as Arsenal are poised to be on the lookout for signings in the winter transfer window.

Lewandowski, Mats Hummels and Mario Gotze have all made the switch to the Allianz Arena in recent years, though Gotze has since returned to Dortmund.
