LIVERPOOL defender Alberto Moreno finally met his newborn son after boss Jurgen Klopp revealed the full-back missed the birth as he was preparing for the Southampton game.
Klopp said Moreno was not at the hospital because he was asleep in the team hotel.
Moreno's partner Lilia gave birth to the couple's second child at 2:30am on Saturday morning, Alberto Moreno Jnr.
The Kop defender took to Instagram to share his joy describing his partner as “my warrior” before declaring “we are one more red in the world”.
And Klopp, speaking after his side’s impressive 3-0 win over the Saints apologised to Lilia for the defender’s absence.
He said: “Alberto could have scored (against Southampton) and that would have been fantastic.
