Ex-Tottenham icon Rafael van der Vaart chased by Indonesian side Bali United
Former Spurs and Real Madrid playmaker is in the middle of a two-year deal with Danish side FC Midtjylland but has not appeared for them this term and could be offered a lucrative escape to South East Asia
RAFAEL VAN DER VAART has been offered the chance to continue his career with Bali United in Indonesia.
The 34-year-old playmaker is currently with FC Midtjylland but has not played a single game for the Danish side this season.
According to Indonesian media outlet Bolasport, Bali are looking to make the former Spurs and Real Madrid player their marquee signing.
Bali finished second in the 2017 Liga 1 season and are keen to strengthen the squad to make an impact in the Asian Champions League next year.
Bali president Pieter Tanuri teased the media by suggesting there could be some high profile additions to the ranks for next season.
He said: “We've got some players lined up who I think are excellent.

"We do not want to announce anything yet as we are concerned about competition, but the time to announce them will be exciting."
