Arsenal star Mesut Ozil wants to join Barcelona for £17m in January and demands £330,000-a-week

German international is pushing for a move to the Nou Camp but his wage demands could prove a stumbling block, according to reports

MESUT OZIL wants to join Barcelona in January for £17million and is demanding £330,000-a-week, according to reports.

The Spanish giants have been linked with a move for the Arsenal ace, whose contract runs out at the end of the season.

But sports station Catalunya Radio are reporting that Ozil's representatives want a move in the winter window.

And on top of that they want a three-year contract for the German World Cup winner.

Spanish paper AS are also reporting that Ozil wants to quit the Emirates for the Nou Camp, but wants around £17m-a-year in wages.

Ozil, 29, reportedly also wants a number of add-ons and bonuses if he joins the La Liga leaders.

But the report does suggest this could be a stumbling block for Barca, who are said to be struggling with their finances after Lionel Messi penned a lucrative new deal.

Arsenal are resigned to the fact they will lose Ozil by the end of the season as he continues to stall on committing his future.

And Arsene Wenger could cash in on the former Real Madrid star rather than lose him on a free.

Alexis Sanchez is also likely to leave and losing both for nothing would be a big blow for the Gunners.
