NICKLAS BENDTNER proved he has still got it by scooping Norway's golden boot.

And the Arsenal cult hero could have another gong coming his way for this stunner earlier in the season.

Bendtner, 29, now leads to line for Rosenborg in the Norway - and just enjoyed his best-ever scoring campaign.

And the Eliteserien season has just finished with the Danish striker scooping the second league title of his career, while finishing at the summit of the scoring charts in the top flight.

Bendtner's resurgence in Scandinavia has seen him net 19 goals in 30 games to finish two goals ahead of Stabæk's Ohi Omoijuanfo.

And he is also in the running to win Norway's goal of the season for his strike in a league game against title rivals Molde - who finished second and seven points behind Rosenborg.

The goal, which came in the 73rd minute of a 2-1 win back in August, helped send his club on their way to a third successive title.

Despite his failure to land a Premier League winners' medal during nine years in north London, Bendtner does already have a league triumph to his name.

Although he failed to score in nine Serie A appearances, the ex-Nottingham Forest man nipped over to Italy for the 2012-13 season and bagged a Scudetto.

International defences will be on guard against the striker, who netted in the World Cup play-off thumping of Ireland to ensure Denmark booked their place at Russia 2018.

Bendtner wrote himself into Gunners folklore and the Guinness Book of Records for the quickest goal scored by a substitute in Prem history when he netted six seconds after coming on against Tottenham in 2007.

He scored 11 league goals on loan at Birmingham in the previous 2006-07 campaign - his best goal haul before this season.
