Europe's top clubs are queuing up to sign the 28-year-old at a bargain fee and Man City are ready to test Sanchez's resolve with a tempting offer.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Pep Guardiola was prepared to wait until the summer to land Sanchez on a free.

But he may be forced to table an offer in January with other clubs ready to splash the cash.

City were desperate to land Sanchez last summer but Arsenal refused to let their key asset join a league rival.

It is believed Sanchez would rather stay in the Premier League and reunite with Guardiola with the pair working together at Barcelona.

City launched a £60million offer over the summer to land Sanchez but now believe a fee in the region of £20m would be enough for Arsenal to cash in.

And he might not be the only player leaving the Emirates in January.

Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are also out of contract next June and boss Arsene Wenger could be tempted to sell the duo if he can find suitable replacements.

Wilshere has been trying to force his way back into the first team following a lengthy absence from injury and loan stint at Bournemouth.
