Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho not surprised City rival Pep Guardiola did not get sent off after entering the pitch against Southampton
The Special One was sent to the stands against the Saints for stepping a yard outside of his technical area, but his Etihad counterpart escaped any punishment
JOSE MOURNIHO admitted he is not surprised Pep Guardiola did not get sent off for running on the pitch.
Manchester City boss Pep raced on to the Etihad turf after Raheem Sterling hit his 96th-minute winner against Southampton on Wednesday.
He escaped punishment despite United chief Jose getting sent off at St Mary’s in injury-time when he stepped a yard outside his technical area to issue an instruction.
Mourinho believes there is one rule for him and one for other managers.
Asked if he was surprised no action was taken against rival Guardiola, he said: “Surprised? No. Not surprised.”
And when asked why, he added: “I can’t answer.
“If you are my friends, don’t ask me the question, because you know I get into trouble, so no.”
Meanwhile, The FA have asked Guardiola to explain his actions after confronting Nathan Redmond at the final whistle.

The FA are still looking to see if the City boss broke any rules when he aggressively spoke to the Saints winger.
Guardiola insisted after the 2-1 win that he was complimenting Redmond on his ability as a player.

And Redmond himself says there was no offence taken in the incident, which came seconds after the final whistle on Wednesday night.
But the manner of his approach to an opposition player has come in for criticism in some quarters, with people questioning if he overstepped the mark.
The FA have seen footage of the clash, and now want to now the real context of what happened.
Until are fully in possession of all the facts they are unable to make any decision on whether Guardiola's behaviour broke any laws.
The City boss now has until Monday to provide the FA with his own explanation.
