And amid reports the front man is seeking a return to Spain, Canal7 claim Valencia are chasing a short-term deal with an option to buy.

Los Che are currently second in La Liga after a brilliant start to the season and want to strengthen their squad.

Sevilla and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with Sandro, who came through Barca's academy.

He netted 16 goals in 31 games for Malaga and Everton won the battle for his signature.

But Sandro, 22, failed to recreate his form and Sam Allardyce may try to get him off the Goodison wage bill.

Valencia may not be able to cover the full cost of a deal as Spanish clubs outside Barca and Real Madrid do not boast the same financial might as mid-table Premier League sides.

Chelsea have also been linked with a shock swoop for Sandro - thanks to Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard often took to the pitch against Morata back in their La Liga days.

And he has been recommended to Antonio Conte as a potential back-up, with the Blues struggling for options up front.

Will Sam Allardyce keep Everton up?
