Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reveals star midfielder David Silva may miss derby clash with Manchester United

DAVID SILVA is in danger of missing Manchester City's clash against rivals Manchester United, according to boss Pep Guardiola.

The Citizens manager has confirmed the 31-year-old will play no part in the Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference against the Ukrainian giants, Guardiola said: "Kevin De Bruyne is suspended and David Silva has a little problem.

"I don't know whether he will recover for Sunday."

He added: "Silva felt uncomfortable after his goal. He felt something. Hopefully he can play on Sunday."

The news will come as a huge blow to City fans ahead of their match at Old Trafford.
