Manchester United news: Jose Mourinho sends scouts to watch Lazio ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Serbian midfielder would have received a glowing report after he changed the game when his side beat Sampdoria

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho sent scouts to watch Lazio's highly-rated midfielder Sergej-Milinkovic Savic, according to reports.

The 22-year-old was watched in action as his side grabbed a dramatic 2-1 win over Sampdoria at the weekend.

And Mourinho would have received glowing a report from his scout after Savic completely turned the game on its head.

With Lazio 1-0 behind with 11 minutes to go, the young talent pounced on a loose ball in the box to fire his side level.

But his impact wasn't to end there.

In the dying embers of the match, Savic made a darting run through the midfield before playing a killer pass into the path of his team-mate as Felipe Caciedo fired in the winner.

Savic's burst onto the European scene has not gone unnoticed with reports that Man City, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tracks.

Lazio's sporting director Igli Tare recently confirmed the club had received several huge offers, but were under no pressure to sell.

He said: "We have received offers from him, some of which are way over £60million. However, none have come from Juventus.

"He signed a new contract six months ago and this means he's happy here."

The player's agent, and former Chelsea striker Matej Kezman, has already admitted that the Red Devils are interested.

In September he wrote: "There's been a lot of interest from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester and Milan.

"It's difficult to see him away from Lazio, where he has started the season very well, but I can't rule out him leaving."
