Unlucky Irishman becomes the sixth Clarets' player to suffer a serious knee injury in four-and-a-half years
ROBBIE BRADY has been ruled out for the season with a horrific knee injury sustained against Leicester City.
Brady was stretchered out the of match after a nasty looking clash with Leicester defender Harry Maguire.
The 25-year-old Dubliner left the field with his right leg in a brace.
Now scans have revelead the true extent of the damage.
Said Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "Robbie will have surgery to repair a patellar tendon tear and will be out for a substantial recovery period.
"He will be given all the time and care he needs on his recovery and supported throughout from all of us at Burnley FC."

Brady, Ireland’s Player of the Year in 2016, is the sixth Burnley player to suffer a serious knee injury in four-and-a-half years.
Sam Vokes, Kevin Long, Dean Marney, Ashley Barnes and Lukas Jutkiewicz all had cruciate ligament injuries.
Brady has made 31 appearances for the Clarets since his then club record signing from Norwich City for a fee reportedly rising to £13million.

Stephen Ward, Brady's club and international teammate, says the effervescent midfielder's absence "will be a massive loss" at Turf Moor.
