And all three are weighing up a £20million bid to land the 21-year-old in the January transfer window.

Amiri, whose parents are from Afghanistan, still has two full seasons left on his Hoffenheim deal.

He came off the bench for the German U-21s in their win against Spain at the Euros final this year — after helping beat England in the semi-finals.

And the attacking midfielder has carried his form into the domestic season with four goals.

United could be in the market for a new midfielder after they were dominated in the centre of the park by rivals City.

Pep Guardiola's side ran out 2-1 winners in last Sunday's Manchester derby.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants showdown talks with Mourinho over his future.

The Armenian midfielder has been out of the Red Devils’ starting line-up recently and has not started a game since the 1-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.
