Phil Jones set to make Manchester United return against Bournemouth with Marcos Rojo out
Jose Mourinho reportedly replaces Argie defender in starting XI after he was forced off against Manchester City and had staples in his forehead
PHIL JONES is reportedly set to make his Manchester United return against Bournemouth tonight with Marcos Rojo struggling with a head injury.
But according to the Metro, Jones is in line to replace Rojo when United host the South Coast side.
Lindelof has mainly been used in Europe this season and Jones has more experience of hard-fought Premier League matches.
And he is now back to fitness and hoping to pick up where he left off after a decent start to the season.
After their derby defeat against City, Mourinho - who was doused in milk during a tunnel row - immediately tried to shift the focus on to facing the Cherries.
He did appear to accuse City of lacking education.
BORE WAR After LVG's rant, just who is more boring out of him and Jose?
But keeping the attention on tonight's game, he said: “This press conference is pre-Bournemouth, is not post-Manchester City, that was already done.
"I know but I keep saying it but this is pre-Bournemouth."
Asked about the gap between City and United now being 11 points, he added: “I told you that when it was eight we go match by match, try to win the match, try to get the maximum.
“Last season we drew at home against Bournemouth, let's try to do better.”
