THE BALD TRUTH

Benjamin Mendy salutes bald David Silva and wonders why his Man City team-mate didn’t shave his hair off earlier

Silva put Swansea to the sword and team-mate Mendy said he 'should have been bald forever'

DAVID SILVA put struggling Swansea City to the sword at the Liberty Stadium.

Silva scored twice in the 27th and 32nd minutes.

And injured teammate Benjamin Mendy was quick to realise just what an asset the Spanish midfielder is to the runaway Premier League leaders.

He  tweeted: "David should have been bald forever - what  a player."

Silva, of course, has shed his locks this season and gone bald.

Just like Samson, his loss of hair looks to have given him amazing powers of strength... in front of goal.

Silva was on target in Wales for the third successive game.

He got a late winner that crushed West Ham's hopes at the  Etihad on December 3.

And Silva followed up with another goal against United in the Manchester derby on Sunday.

It didn't take him long to get on the score sheet at the Liberty and he added another strike in the second half.

Mendy's serious leg injury will put him out of action for maybe the rest of the season.

But he obviously can't wait to get back and play with midfield dynamo Silva, who can do wrong  at the moment.
